Marketing, operations, and the tools that run them. One hub.
Coaching when you want to learn it, deployments when you want it built. My edge is AI and custom tools built for your specific business, not just websites: estimators, fit guides, quoting flows, follow-up that doesn't forget. My specialty is marketing and in-home sales. And after 15-plus years owning small businesses, everything I hand you has already earned its keep in my own shop. The receipts are right below.

15+ years running my own businesses. One engagement, priced on the call.

I'm not teaching from a slide deck. I'm teaching what runs my own trucks.
I've spent 15-plus years owning small businesses, and the biggest of them is a chimney & fireplace company in Bucks County that I built into a multi-million-dollar operation. Along the way I hit the same walls you're hitting: calls going to voicemail while we were on roofs, quotes sitting half-written at 9 p.m., customers who ghosted because we followed up once and gave up.
The off-the-shelf software never quite fit a trades business, so I built my own: AI-powered estimating my techs use to price and close jobs right in the customer's home, marketing systems, follow-up that doesn't forget. Then I put it to work in my own company. Not a demo. Not a pilot. The stuff my techs and my office use on real jobs, every day.
That's what you're buying when you hire me: not a vendor, not another subscription, but a consultant who already made the mistakes on his own dime and kept what worked. And once the tech is squared away, I'm the same phone call for the traditional stuff: pricing, operations, hiring, growth. I've run the P&L you're running. I've also bought commercial real estate, so when the conversation turns to owning your building instead of renting your shop, that's firsthand too.
And the chimney company? It's Warrington Chimney & Fireplace. Look it up before we ever talk: the trucks, the reviews, the service area. That's the resume.
If a tool can't survive a Monday morning at my own shop, I won't recommend it for yours.
Where the money leaks
None of these show up as a line on your P&L. All of them are money leaving the building.
-
Missed calls
A missed call is a $300-800 job in most service trades. Three a week is $47,000-$125,000 a year, walking to the next name on the list while you're on a roof.
-
Quotes that come later
The job usually goes to whoever quotes first, and nobody quotes faster than the one who prices it right there in the home. If your estimates arrive by email three days later, you're not losing on price. You're losing on speed and presence.
-
Nobody chases anything
Estimates die in inboxes. Invoices age past 60 days. Happy customers never get asked for the review. Each one is earned money you dropped on the way to the bank.
-
Renting your own customers
Lead brokers sell you your neighbors one call at a time and keep the list. Agencies bill every month for marketing you could own. Anyone standing between you and your customer is charging you for the introduction.
Job values vary by trade and market. Count your own missed calls for a week, then run the math with your numbers. That's the honest version.
Think your shop is tight? Check.
The Leak Check: ten questions, two minutes, scored on this exact list plus the tech and the long game. Your scorecard shows on the page, no email wall in front of it.
The shape of an engagement
No menu of packages, no tiers to decode. It's one engagement, priced plainly on the free call, and it moves through three phases. Here's the whole shape of it.

Diagnose: we find where it leaks and what to build
Ninety minutes together, walking through how calls, quotes, in-home sales, follow-up, and office admin actually happen in your business. Within 5 business days you get a written roadmap: specific tools, monthly costs, and setup steps for your software stack, not a generic list. That opening audit carries the guarantee below, and the roadmap is yours to keep no matter what.
-
Deploy: I build and install the tools with your team
Thirty days of working sessions: one a week, 60-90 minutes, screen shared, straight down the roadmap. Whoever runs your office drives the keyboard and I navigate, so when we're done your team runs it because your team set it up. Everything is custom to your business: missed-call text-back, review requests, quote follow-up, the in-home quoting flow, whatever's worth the most first. Between sessions I answer questions async, usually the same day, so nothing stalls. Every subscription in your name, every login in your hands, plain-English notes your office can follow: you own every tool and account, and there's nothing of mine to hand back. The deploy phase also includes the Giving Loop, my charity-partnership marketing system, the local-reputation engine to go with the operations work.

Advise: month to month after, cancel anytime
Once the tools are in, most owners don't need more setup. They need a consultant who already knows their operation. Two 45-minute calls a month plus my eyes on whatever comes up in between: a pricing decision, a hiring question, a new AI tool worth (or not worth) your money, the next thing to automate. No annual contract, no hourly meter, and I'll tell you when you no longer need me.
Billed monthly, in advance. Cancel before your next billing date and you're done.
Pricing is straightforward and I'll give it to you on the call, no games. I take a limited number of engagements at a time, because I'm still running my own company too. Bigger or messier than thirty days can cover? That's what the roadmap is for: larger builds are scoped and quoted there. Want to see the shape of the roadmap before you commit? Ask on the free fit call and I'll walk you through the format, section by section.
Stop spinning your wheels. Build something you can sell.
Here's the quiet truth about most service businesses: they aren't businesses. They're jobs with the owner's name on the door. The day you stop swinging, the income stops. That's not a company. That's not a retirement plan either.
Everything on this page points the other way. Systems that run without you in the room. Customer relationships you own instead of rent. Books a buyer can actually read. A name your town knows. That's what separates you from the truck, and separation is what a buyer pays for.
Whether you sell in five years, hand it to your kids, or just want a summer off without the phone ringing, the work is the same: build a company that's worth something without you in it. And if you own the building underneath it, even better. I've done that too.
This is the long conversation the monthly advisory exists for. If an exit is on your horizon, say so on the fit call and we'll aim the roadmap at it from day one.
Questions owners actually ask
What happens after I send the form?
I read it myself and reply within one business day with a couple of times for a call. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so on that call and point you somewhere better.
Do I have to start with the diagnosis?
Yes. I won't recommend fixes for a business I haven't looked at, so every engagement opens the same way: ninety minutes together, then the written roadmap. That opening audit carries the guarantee above, and the whole engagement is priced plainly on the call before we build anything.
What if you can't find anything?
Then the audit is free. The roadmap itemizes the monthly dollar value of every leak it finds; if the total doesn't reach $1,000 a month, tell me within 30 days and you pay nothing and keep the roadmap.
I'm not technical. Is that a problem?
No, and most of my clients aren't. Whoever runs your office drives the keyboard and I navigate. If your office can send an email, they can run everything we set up.
Are you going to sell me software?
No. I don't take referral fees from any vendor, and the only software I offer is Emberline, which I built for my own chimney and fireplace shop and offer only to that trade. Everything else we set up is a tool you own, in accounts you control.
What does it cost after the thirty days?
Nothing, unless you want it to. Everything lives in your accounts and keeps working without me. If you want ongoing help, advisory is month to month, cancel anytime, and we'll talk numbers on the call.
Can you help me get the business ready to sell?
Yes, and it's the same work either way. A business that runs without you, with customers you own and books a buyer can read, is worth more if you sell and easier to live with if you keep it. If an exit or retirement is on your horizon, say so on the fit call and we'll aim the roadmap at it.
Tell me where your business leaks money
A couple of sentences is plenty. I read every one of these myself. Rather talk it through first? Book a free 30-minute fit call instead. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.
