Start your first service business with someone who's started several.
Eight weeks, one-on-one, from "I should start something" to open for business. I've spent fifteen-plus years owning small businesses, and I've made the expensive mistakes already, and I paid retail for every one of them. You get the shortcut version, built around your actual launch, not a hypothetical one.
Looking for the teen program? It lives on the Parents & Teens page, safety pack and all.
You don't need another course. You need someone who's been on the hook for payroll.
Maybe you've been turning wrenches for someone else and you're done making another man's truck payment. Maybe you're leaving an office job for work that can't be done by a chatbot. Either way, the free videos have already told you what a business license is. What they can't do is look at your specific plan, your town, your money, and your first ten customers, and tell you what to do Monday morning.
That's what this is. Not a curriculum you watch. A launch we work, week by week, one-on-one, until the business exists and the first jobs are booked.
The goal isn't a certificate. It's a business with your name on it and money coming in.
First Business Launch
Pricing is straightforward and I'll give it to you on the call, no games.
Everything between “I should start something” and open for business, worked through with someone who's done it more than once.
- Your entity setup path, and the order of operations to get there
- Pricing and break-even math for your actual services
- A first-ten-customers plan you start running before week 8
- A simple tech stack you own, with no subscriptions you don't need
- Full refund after session 1 if it's not a fit
Everything in First Business Launch, plus extra working sessions where we stand up your business tech together before we're done. Your hands on the keyboard, my experience in the room.
- Everything in First Business Launch
- Extra working sessions to set up your quoting, booking, and review tools. You drive, I navigate
- Everything in your own accounts, in your own name
- Plain-English notes so it all keeps working without me
- Same session-1 refund guarantee
Limited seats, rolling start. I take a small number of one-on-one clients at a time, and we begin when a seat opens.
What the eight weeks cover
Six parts, each one taken as deep as your launch needs. Every part ends with something built, not just something learned.
-
Part 1
Foundation & business identity
What the business is, who pays for it, and why they'd pick you over the outfit with wrapped trucks. We name it, define the offer, and test the pitch on real people before you spend a dollar on anything else.
-
Part 2
Grit, leadership & problem-solving
Quitting a paycheck for your own thing tests you in ways a job never did. We build the habits for the sideways weeks: own the mistake, fix what's in front of you, and keep the family on board while you do it.
-
Part 3
Sales & marketing that works
Where your first ten customers actually come from, what to say to them, and the follow-up habit that closes the quotes everyone else lets die. No ad budget required to start.
-
Part 4
Money & pricing
Break-even math with a mortgage in it. What to charge so the business carries itself and pays you on purpose, plus when to bring in a CPA and exactly what to ask them.
-
Part 5
Licensing, legal & insurance basics
The registrations, licenses, and coverage your county and trade actually require, in the right order, and how to work with an attorney without buying hours you don't need.
-
Part 6
Launch strategy: book the first paying jobs
A launch plan with dates on it, the timing call on leaving the day job, and what to do the day after the first paying job is done so the second one follows it.
Down the road, when the business is running: my consulting side covers AI adoption, operations, and even the buy-your-building conversation. Same person, same phone number.
Session 1 decides it
Come to the first session. If it's not a fit for you or me, say so and I'll refund every dollar. No forms, no hard feelings. Decide to leave before the halfway mark and I'll pro-rate the refund for the sessions you didn't use. Pro-rated means simple math: the price divided by the number of sessions, refunded for every session you didn't attend. The same guarantee covers both tracks.
Apply to the program
This isn't a checkout page. We have a free fit call, and we both decide. Limited seats with a rolling start.
Rather talk before you apply? Book a free 30-minute fit call and we'll sort out fit first.
