Parent Safety & Safeguarding
Before you enroll your teen in anything I run, you should be able to check my homework. This page is the full list of safeguards behind the teen programs, plus the honest, current status of each one.
You should expect all of this from anyone who works with your teen.
Not just from me. From coaches, tutors, mentors, youth pastors, program leaders. Anyone. Clearances, insurance, clear rules about contact, and a way for you to see what happens in every session. If a program can't show you those things in writing, that's your answer about the program.
Here's mine. My PA clearances are complete and in hand. A couple of statuses below still say "In progress" because that's the truth today. Everything marked "In progress" will be complete and in hand before any student's first session in October 2026, and you get copies before session 1, not promises.
Every safeguard, with its status
"In progress" means exactly that: not done yet. Nothing on this page claims otherwise.

Recorded sessions
Every session is recorded, and parents get access to every recording. Pennsylvania is an all-party-consent state, so recording consent is part of the enrollment paperwork. It gets signed up front, not assumed.
-
Policy
Parent visibility
A parent or guardian signs the enrollment agreement, because minors can't contract. A parent is required at session 1 and welcome to sit in on any session after that, no notice needed.
-
Policy
No private contact
No DMs, no texts, no private messages between me and any minor, ever. All communication runs through a channel a parent can see.
-
Policy
One-on-one, never private
Teen mentorship runs one-on-one, and one-on-one never means private. Every session is recorded with a parent link, a parent is welcome in the room or on the call at any time with no notice, and between sessions all contact runs through the parent. That's by design, not by accident.
-
In progress
Insurance
Business liability and errors & omissions coverage for youth programs. Certificate of insurance available to enrolled families and schools on request.
-
In progress
Mandated reporter training
Pennsylvania child-protection training, completed before any student's first session.
See the teen mentorship, then ask me anything
The teen mentorship details (curriculum, price, guarantee, and how the introductory call works) are on the Parents & Teens page. If you have a safety question this page didn't answer, bring it to the call. That's what it's for.
